Output State Tests

  1. Scan tool is used to perform scan tool output test on a specified component at specified operating condition to check for normal operation of component. See OUTPUT STATE TESTS  table.
OUTPUT STATE TESTS

Procedure (Component) Specified Operating Condition Normal Operation
B3 (Torque Reduction Link) When Shifting Up & Down
D1 (A/C Clutch Relay) (1) A/C Switch Off Off
A/C Switch On On
D2 (ASD Relay) Ignition Switch On Off
Engine Cranking On
D3 (EVAP Purge Solenoid) (2) Right After Engine Starts Off
10 Seconds Or More After Engine Starts On
D5 (EGR Solenoid) (2) Engine Idling At Normal Operating Temperature On
Engine At 2000 RPM Or More Off (Momentarily)
E8 (Low Speed Radiator Fan Relay) Radiator Fan Off & Engine Coolant Temp. Less Than 176°F (80°C) Off
Radiator Fan At Low Speed, A/C On & Engine Coolant Temp. Less Than 210°F (99°C) On
E9 (High Speed Radiator Fan Relay) Radiator Fan Off & Engine Coolant Temp. Less Than 200°F (93°C) Off
Radiator Fan At Low Speed, A/C On & Engine Coolant Temp. 220°F (104°C) Or More On
F1 (Fuel Pump Relay) Ignition Switch On Off
Engine Cranking Or At Idle On
(1) Check with engine idling.
(2) Check with engine at normal operating temperature.
