Rear Washer Motor Inoperative
- Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select BODY, then HVAC and monitor rear wiper switch. Press and hold rear washer switch. If scan tool displays REAR WASHER SW: ON, go to next step. If scan tool does not display REAR WASHER SW: ON, replace Heating/Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) module.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connector "B". BCM is located with junction block under driver's side instrument panel. See Figure . Connect a jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 50 (Black/White wire) at BCM connector "B". See Figure . Turn ignition on. If rear washer motor operates, replace BCM. If rear washer does not operate, go to next step.
- Disconnect rear washer pump connector. Measure voltage between ground and Dark Blue wire at rear washer pump connector. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open in Dark Blue wire between junction block under driver's side instrument panel and rear washer pump.
- Ensure jumper wire is still connected between ground and terminal No. 50 (Black/White wire) at BCM connector "B". Turn ignition off. Measure resistance between ground and Black/White wire at rear washer pump connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace rear washer pump. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Black/White wire between washer pump and BCM.
