Rear Wiper Not Working In Intermittent Mode

  1. Turn ignition on. Depress intermittent rear wiper switch to ON position. If indicator light on switch illuminates, go to next step. If indicator light does not illuminate, replace Heating/Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) module. HVAC module is part of heating-A/C control assembly in center of instrument panel.
  2. Using scan tool, select BODY, HVAC, MONITOR SYSTEM, and then WIPER: REAR INT WIPE SW. Depress intermittent rear wiper switch to ON position. If scan tool does not display ON, replace HVAC module. If scan tool displays ON, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect rear wiper motor connector. Connect a test light between ground and terminal No. 3 (Brown/Light Green wire) at rear wiper motor connector. Ensure intermittent rear wiper switch is still on. Monitor test light for 30 seconds (minimum). If test light cycles on, and then off, replace rear wiper motor. If test light does not illuminate, replace BCM.
