Transmission Range (Tr) Sensor (4-Speed A/T)

TR sensor is located on transaxle valve body with connector located on side of transaxle. See Fig 1 . TR sensor may also be referred to as park/neutral switch. Individual component testing information is not available from manufacturer. If TR sensor or wiring circuit failure exists, a DTC will be stored in PCM. See DTC P1899: PARK/NEUTRAL SWITCH STUCK IN PARK OR GEAR (4-SPEED A/T) under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - FWD VANS article.
