Courtesy Lights Inoperative With Dome Light Switch

  1. Rotate headlight switch to dome light position. Using scan tool, read dome light switch status. If scan tool displays DOME LAMP SWITCH: CLOSED, replace Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is located with junction block under driver's side instrument panel. See Figure . If scan tool does not display DOME LAMP SWITCH: CLOSED, go to next step.
  2. Gain access to back of headlight switch. Do not disconnect connectors. Connect a jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 4 (Black/Light Blue wire) at headlight switch 13-pin connector. If courtesy lights illuminate, replace headlight switch. If courtesy lights do not illuminate, go to next step.
  3. Access BCM connector "A". See Figure . Connect a jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 2 (Black/Light Blue wire) at BCM connector "A". See Figure . If courtesy lights illuminate, repair open in Black/Light Blue wire between BCM and headlight switch. If courtesy lights do not illuminate, replace BCM.
