Air Bag Control Module (ACM): Removal

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable and wait 2 minutes. Reach under front of driver's seat to access and remove molded plastic ACM cover. ACM cover is secured to floor panel with double-faced foam tape. Discard ACM cover.
  2. Disconnect ACM connector. To disconnect ACM connector, remove Red Connector Position Assurance (CPA) lock from connector by sliding it toward front of vehicle. Depress connector latch tab and pull connector straight, away from ACM connector receptacle.
  3. Remove 3 ACM mounting bracket-to-floor panel screws. Remove ACM and mounting bracket as an assembly from vehicle.
