Wipers Operate At High Speed With Switch In Any Position

NOTE: Wipers operate at high speed with switch in Low position. Wipers operate in Intermittent position, but every wipe is at high speed.
  1. Disconnect wiper motor harness connector. Using a jumper wire, connect battery voltage to wiper motor terminal No. 2 (component side). Connect a second jumper wire between ground and wiper motor terminal No. 5 (component side). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . See Figure . If motor runs at low speed, go to next step. If motor runs at high speed, replace motor. See WIPER MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Check for faulty HIGH/LOW wiper relay. Replace with known-good relay. Check for crossed wires between wiper motor and HIGH/LOW wiper relay. If problem exists, repair as necessary. If problem does not exist, go to next step.
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) White 12-pin C3 connector and remove HIGH/LOW wiper relay. See Figure and Figure . Check continuity between ground and BCM connector C3 terminal No. 12 (Violet wire). If continuity exists, repair short to ground. If continuity does not exist, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULES - CONCORDE, INTREPID, LHS & 300M article.
