VTSS Previously Enabled

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS. Unless instructed otherwise in test step, reconnect any disconnected connectors.
NOTE: During Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module programming (configuration), if a non-Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS) RKE module is being installed in a vehicle equipped with VTSS, VTSS PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED DTC will set.

Program (configure) RKE module. See REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY (RKE) MODULE  under PROGRAMMING. If scan tool displays VTSS PREVIOUSLY ENABLED, non-VTSS RKE module is installed. Install correct RKE module. If scan tool does not display VTSS PREVIOUSLY ENABLED, no problem is found at this time. Test is complete.
