Retrieving Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) Using Ignition Key & Odometer

  1. Cycle ignition key On - Off- On - Off- On within 5 seconds. The Odometer will show P-code for DTC code number. Refer to Emission section for DTC chart for a detailed explanation of DTC codes.
  2. If no DTC's are present, cluster will display one of two texts: "P1684" and DONE or only DONE.
    • P1684 is only a status and indicates that PCM memory has been cleared within last 50 ignition cycles and does not indicate a problem.
    • DONE indicates that NO DTCs are present and procedure is complete.
