Courtesy Lights Inoperative With Headlight Switch
- Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect Black 14-pin headlight switch connector. See Figure . Using test light connected to battery voltage, probe Black 14-pin headlight switch connector terminals No. 4 (Black/Orange wire) and No. 9 (Black wire). See Figure . If test light illuminates on both circuits, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate on both circuits, repair open in appropriate wire between Black 14-pin headlight switch connector and ground. See GROUND DISTRIBUTION article in WIRING DIAGRAMS.
- Disconnect Gray 26-pin Central Timer Module (CTM) connector C1. CTM is located behind left side kick panel. Using DVOM, measure resistance between Gray 26-pin CTM connector C1 terminal No. 21 and Black 14-pin headlight switch connector terminal No. 10 (Pink/Light Blue wire). See Figure . If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Pink/Light Blue wire between Gray 26-pin CTM connector C1 terminal No. 21 and Black 14-pin headlight switch connector terminal No. 10.
