Glove Box Light Inoperative
- Remove and inspect glove box light bulb. Replace as necessary. If glove box light bulb is okay, disconnect Black 2-pin glove box light switch connector. Using test light connected to ground, probe Black 2-pin glove box light switch connector terminal No. 2 (Pink wire). If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, repair open in Pink wire between Black 2-pin glove box light switch connector terminal No. 2 and Gray 12-pin instrument panel junction block connector C10 terminal No. 4. See Fig 1
. See ILLUMINATION/INTERIOR LIGHTS article.
- Disconnect Gray 26-pin Central Timer Module (CTM) connector C1. CTM is located behind left side kick panel. Using DVOM, measure resistance between Gray 26-pin CTM connector C1 terminal No. 14 and Black 2-pin glove box light switch connector terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet wire). See Figure
. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair short to voltage in Yellow/Violet wire between Gray 26-pin CTM connector C1 terminal No. 14 and Black 2-pin glove box light switch connector terminal No. 1.
- Replace CTM. See CENTRAL TIMER MODULE
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
