All Doors Fail To Lock & Unlock From Any Switch

  1. Turn headlights on. If headlights operate, go to next step. If headlights do not operate, diagnose headlight system first. See HEADLIGHT SYSTEMS article.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Gray 16-pin Central Timer Module (CTM) connector C2. CTM is located behind left side kick panel. Disconnect any Black 4-pin power door lock motor connector, located in rear of door. Using DVOM, measure resistance of Orange/Black wire between Black 4-pin power door lock motor connector terminal No. 4 and Gray 16-pin CTM connector C2 terminal No. 4. See Figure . If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Orange/Black wire between Black 4-pin power door lock motor connector terminal No. 4 and Gray 16-pin CTM connector C2 terminal No. 4.
  3. Replace CTM. See CENTRAL TIMER MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
