Driver's Door Fails To Unlock From Any Switch

  1. Turn headlights on. If left headlights operate, go to next step. If left headlights do not operate, diagnose headlight system first. See HEADLIGHT SYSTEMS article.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Gray 16-pin Central Timer Module (CTM) connector C2. CTM is located behind left side kick panel. Using DVOM, measure resistance between ground and Gray 16-pin CTM connector C2 terminal No. 5 (Pink/Black wire). See Figure . If resistance is more than 1000 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 1000 ohms or less, repair short to ground in Pink/Black wire between Gray 16-pin CTM connector C2 terminal No. 5 and door lock motors.
  3. Replace CTM. See CENTRAL TIMER MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
