DTC P1388: Auto Shutdown Relay Control Circuit: Description

Auto Shutdown (ASD) relay voltage is monitored when ignition is on, and battery voltage is more than 10.4 volts. DTC may be stored in Powertrain Control Module (PCM) an open or short condition is detected in ASD relay control circuit. Possible causes are:

• Wiring Harness Intermittent Condition
• Fused Battery (+) Output Circuit
• ASD Relay Control Circuit Open Or Shorted To Ground
• Faulty ASD Relay (Internal Control Circuit)
• Faulty PCM
