Compass Calibration Procedure (With Compass/Mini-Trip Computer Or Electronic Vehicle Information Center)
Compass variance is the difference between magnetic north and geographic north. To adjust compass variance, set Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) or Compass/Mini-Trip Computer (CMTC) to COMPASS/TEMPERATURE mode and press and hold RESET button until VAR = XX is displayed. Release button. XX indicates current variance setting. Press STEP button to select proper variance zone for your location. See Fig 1 . Press RESET button to save new variance zone selection and resume normal CMTC or EVIC operation.
