Installation (Neon)

  1. Ensure sealing area on shoulder of fuel tank is clean. Install NEW "O" ring on sealing area on shoulder of fuel tank.
    CAUTION: Alignment tab on bottom side of fuel pump module must engage with notch in fuel tank when installing fuel pump module. DO NOT overtighten fuel pump module lock nut.
  2. Install fuel pump module on fuel tank so alignment tab on bottom side of fuel pump module engages with notch in fuel tank. Install fuel pump module lock nut. Hold fuel pump module in place while tightening fuel pump module lock nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure. Install fuel line on fuel filter/fuel pressure regulator using proper procedure. See FUEL LINE DISCONNECT FITTINGS . Tighten fuel tank strap nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
