Fuel Level Sensor (Except Sebring Coupe & Stratus Coupe)

Sensor may also be referred to as fuel gauge sending unit. The fuel level sensor is located in fuel tank, on fuel pump module assembly. Sensor sends a variable voltage to instrument cluster to operate fuel gauge. Instrument cluster then sends a signal to PCM. PCM uses this input to prevent setting a misfire or fuel system monitor diagnostic trouble code if fuel level is less than about 15 percent of capacity.
