All Courtesy Lights Inoperative

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Remove dome light lens. Remove and inspect dome light bulb. Replace bulb if necessary. Open any door. Using a voltmeter, check voltage on dome light connector fused B+ circuit (Pink wire). If voltage is more than 10 volts, reinstall dome light bulb and go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Pink wire.
  2. Disconnect Black 26-pin instrument cluster connector, located behind left upper instrument panel. Connect a jumper wire between instrument cluster connector terminal No. 3, courtesy light control circuit (Yellow wire) and ground. See Figure . If dome light does not illuminate, go to next step. If dome light illuminates, replace instrument cluster. See ANALOG INSTRUMENT PANELS - NEON article.
  3. Remove dome light lens. Remove dome light bulb. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between dome light connector courtesy light control circuit (Yellow wire) and ground. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open Yellow wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, problem does not exist at this time.
