Removal & Installation

  1. The TCM is located behind left front fender and is mounted to frame rail. See Fig 1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Raise and support vehicle.
  2. Remove left front tire/wheel. Pull back inner wheelwell to access TCM. Loosen retaining bolt and remove TCM connector. Remove 3 bolts attaching TCM to vehicle. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten TCM retaining bolts and connector retaining bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
