Front Mode Door Travel Too Small

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using scan tool, check for any active DTC/fault messages present in ATC module. If any DOOR NOT RESPONDING type of DTC/fault message is actively set in ATC module, go to appropriate procedure for active DTC/fault message. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION  table. If any DOOR NOT RESPONDING type of DTC/fault message are not actively set, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect suspect door actuator harness connector. Connect a test light between terminals of suspect door actuator harness connector. Turn ignition switch to ON position. While monitoring test light, actuate suspect door actuator from appropriate switch or selector at ATC control panel or rear zone control panel. Test light should flash for about 20-30 seconds when actuated. If test light starts to flash and stays flashing, go to next step. If test light does not flash, or does not stay flashing, replace ATC module. Calibrate ATC module and actuators. See HVAC CONTROL CALIBRATION  under PROGRAMMING.
  3. Check mechanical operation and travel of door for removed actuator. Ensure door travels smoothly and through full range of motion. Check for binding, worn, missing or broken actuator gear and actuator-to-door linkages. Repair any mechanical faults that exist as necessary. If door and actuator-to-door linkage are okay, replace door actuator motor. Calibrate ATC module and actuators. See HVAC CONTROL CALIBRATION  under PROGRAMMING.
