NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. With the DRBIII®, erase DTCs. Cycle the ignition and wait approximately 1 minute. With the DRBIII®, read DTCs. If this DTC reset, go to the next step. If the DTC did not reset, the condition is not present at this time. Monitor DRBIII® parameters while wiggling the related wire harness. Refer to any Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) that may apply. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connector terminals.
  2. Turn the ignition on. With the DRBIII®, attempt to I/D or communicate with the TCM. If the DRBIII® was able to communicate with the TCM, replace the CMTC or EVIC. See OVERHEAD CONSOLE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If the DRBIII® was not able to communicate with the TCM, refer to the COMMUNICATION category of the DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION table and perform the appropriate symptom. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION  table.
