Right Unlock Output Failure
NOTE:
After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Turn ignition off. Monitor DTCs on scan tool. Operate door locks from driver's door lock switch. If RIGHT UNLOCK OUTPUT FAILURE resets, go to next step. If RIGHT UNLOCK OUTPUT FAILURE does not reset, system is operating properly at this time. Check for intermittent poor connections or faulty circuits.
- Locate and disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connector C2. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS . See Figure. Using DVOM, measure resistance between ground and BCM connector C2 terminal No. 26 (Tan/Brown wire). Using DVOM, measure resistance between ground and BCM connector C2 terminal No. 27 (Tan/Light Blue wire). If resistance is 1000 ohms or less at BCM connector C2 terminal No. 26, go to next step. If resistance is 1000 ohms or less at BCM connector C2 terminal No. 27, go to step 4. If resistance is greater than 1000 ohms at both terminals, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Disconnect right door lock motor/ajar switch connector. See Figure. To access connector, door panel will need to be removed. For removal and installation procedures, see POWER SLIDING DOOR MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using DVOM, measure resistance between ground and BCM connector C2 terminal No. 26 (Tan/Brown wire). If resistance is 1000 ohms or less, repair short to ground in Tan/Brown wire. If resistance is greater than 1000 ohms, replace door lock motor/ajar switch.
- Disconnect right sliding door lock motor/ajar switch connector. See Figure. To access connector, door panel will need to be removed. See POWER SLIDING DOOR MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using DVOM, measure resistance between ground and BCM connector C2 terminal No. 27 (Tan/Light Blue wire). If resistance is 1000 ohms or less, repair short to ground in Tan/Light Blue wire. If resistance is greater than 1000 ohms, replace sliding door lock motor/ajar switch.
