FR Wiper Hi-Lo Relay Short To Batt

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn ignition off. Remove wiper high/low relay from Intelligent Power Module (IPM). See Figure. Locate and disconnect Front Control Module (FCM). See FRONT CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage between ground and wiper high/low relay cavity terminal No. 85 in IPM. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair short to voltage in circuit between wiper high/low relay and FCM connector terminal No. 34. See Figure.
  2. Install a known-good wiper high/low relay. Turn ignition on. Turn wipers on. If wipers do not operate properly, replace FCM. If wipers operate properly, replace wiper high/low relay.
