Removal & Installation

Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove liftgate trim panel. See LIFTGATE TRIM PANEL  . Disconnect liftgate lamp harness connector. Peel back water shield as necessary. Disconnect liftgate-to-outside handle latch rod. Remove liftgate latch-to-liftgate retaining screws. Remove liftgate latch. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten liftgate latch-to-liftgate retaining screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
