Powertrain Verification Test VER-1 (NGC)

NOTE:
After completing this Powertrain Verification Test, perform TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 (45RFE/545REF)

- Inspect vehicle to ensure all engine components are connected. Reassemble and reconnect components as necessary.
- Inspect the engine oil for contamination. If oil contamination is suspected, change the oil and filter.
- Attempt to start the engine. If the No-Start condition is still present, go to NO-START DIAGNOSIS in BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES - DAKOTA & DURANGO article for additional testing.
- If the engine starts, run the engine for one warm-up cycle to verify operation. With the DRB-III(R), confirm that no DTCs or Secondary Indicators are present and that all components are functioning properly. If any DTCs or symptoms remain, check for any related Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) and/or perform appropriate test. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - DURANGO - NGC article. If no DTCs or symptoms remain, repair is complete.
