Lower Steering Coupling: Installation
- Install the lower coupler to the steering rack & pinion (Figure ).
- Install the upper coupler to the lower (Figure ).
- Install the lower pinch bolt (Figure ) and tighten to 57 N.m (42 ft. lbs.).
- Install the upper pinch bolt (Figure ) and tighten to 57 N.m (42 ft. lbs.).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Reconnect the negative battery cable.
- Unlock the steering wheel.
NOTE:
New pinch bolts must be used for reinstallation.
