Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan, 2002 Dodge Caravan, 2002 Chrysler Voyager, and 2002 Chrysler Town & Country. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Body Control Module (BCM) is located under driver's side instrument panel, mounted to firewall. Remove the lower instrument panel silencer. Remove left underdash cover and knee bolster reinforcement. Disconnect harness connectors from bottom of BCM. See Figure.
  2. Remove bolts attaching BCM to mounting bracket. Remove BCM from mounting bracket. Disconnect remaining connectors for BCM. To install, reverse removal procedure. Perform programming procedure for BCM. See PROGRAMMING .
