Occupant Restraint Controller: Installation

  1. Place Occupant Restraint Controller into center stack area and place in mounting location.
    WARNING: MAKE SURE ORC IS POSITIONED PROPERLY ON THE FLOOR TUNNEL WITH THE ARROW POINTING FORWARD. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.
  2. Install the four retaining bolts to the ORC. Torque bolts to 11 N.m (95 in. lbs.).
  3. Connect the two electrical connectors to the ORC.
  4. Connect one electrical connector on cluster bezel, place in position over retaining slots and firmly snap into place.
  5. Connect one electrical connector to instrument panel center bezel and install six screws to center bezel.
  6. Connect one electrical connector to center console, place into position and install eight screws to console.
  7. Install floor console bezel and parking brake body.
  8. Install shifter shaft with knob and body.
  9. Install six allen screws to shifter bezel.
    WARNING: DO NOT CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE (Refer to ELECTRICAL/RESTRAINTS - DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING - AIRBAG SYSTEM) .
  10. Place battery access cover into place and install four bolts.
  11. Close deck lid.
  12. Verify vehicle and system operation.
