Active Restraints
The active restraints for this vehicle include:
- Child Restraint Anchors - All vehicles are equipped with fixed-position child seat upper tether anchors, three for the second row bench seating, two for the second row bucket seating, and one for the optional third row split bench seating. These anchors are integral to the back of each second row seat cushion frame or the third row split bench seat back panel. Two lower anchors are also provided for each outboard second row seating position. These lower anchors are accessed from the front of the second row seat where the seat back meets the seat cushion. These lower anchors are integral to each outboard second row seat cushion frame.
- Front Seat Belts - Both front seating positions are equipped with three-point seat belt systems employing lower B-pillar mounted inertia latch-type emergency locking retractors, height-adjustable upper B-pillar mounted turning loops, a traveling lower seat belt anchor secured to the outboard side of the seat frame, and a traveling end-release seat belt buckle secured to the inboard side of the seat frame. The passenger side front seat belt retractor is switchable to an automatic locking retractor for compatibility with child seats. The passenger side front seat belt includes a self-cinching latch plate for compatibility with child seats. The driver side front seat belt retractor includes an integral seat belt switch that detects whether the driver side front seat belt has been fastened.
- Second Row Seat Belts - All second row seating positions are equipped with three-point seat belt systems. The outboard seating position belts employ lower C-pillar mounted inertia latch-type emergency locking retractors, height-adjustable upper C-pillar mounted turning loops, self-cinching latch plates for compatibility with child seats, fixed lower seat belt anchors secured to the floor panel and fixed end-release buckles secured to the inboard sides of the two outboard seat cushion frames. The second row center seating position has an inertia latch-type emergency locking retractor that is switchable to an automatic locking retractor for compatibility with child seats. The center position retractor is secured within the center rear seat back panel, and the fixed lower seat belt anchor and the fixed end-release buckle are both secured to opposite sides of the center rear seat cushion frame.
- Third Row Seat Belts - In vehicles equipped with the optional third row bench seat, both third row seating positions are equipped with three-point seat belt systems. These belts employ lower D-pillar mounted inertia latch-type emergency locking retractors, fixed position upper D-pillar mounted turning loops, self-cinching latch plates for compatibility with child seats, fixed lower seat belt anchors secured to the quarter inner panels, and fixed position end-release buckles secured to the floor panel. On optional third row split bench seat includes a third, center seating position with a retractor mounted to the upper liftgate opening header above the headliner and four fixed position end-release buckles (three conventional seat belt buckles and a center belt anchor buckle) secured to the seat mounting bracket.
