Diagnostic Test

WARNING: On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, you must thoroughly read and follow all High Voltage Safety procedures. In addition, before performing any diagnostic or service procedure near a high voltage component, you must perform the High Voltage Power Down. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury. Refer to Electrical/Battery System - Warning
  1. Reprogram (flash) the TCM using the latest controller software in accordance with the Service Information.
    NOTE: Wait at least 30 seconds with the ignition off after flashing the controller.
  2. With the scan tool read TCM DTCs.

    Did the DTC reset?

    Yes 

    • Using the schematics as a guide, check the Transmission Electro Hydraulic Control Module (TEHCM) connectors and terminals for corrosion, damage, or terminal push out. Pay particular attention to all power and ground circuits. Refer to any Technical Service Bulletins and Service Information Updates for possible causes that may apply. Verify that the TCM is equipped with the latest software and is properly programmed. If no problems are found, replace and program the TEHCM in accordance with the Service Information. Using the scan tool, perform the Resolver Offset Learn Trigger procedure.
    • Perform 2-MODE HYBRID TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. See DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Transmission Electronic Hydraulic Control (TEHCM) - Standard Procedure .

    No 

    • Test complete.
