Transfer Case Verification Test
WARNING:
On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, you must thoroughly read and follow all High Voltage Safety procedures. In addition, before performing any diagnostic or service procedure near a high voltage component, you must perform the High Voltage Power Down. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury. Refer to Electrical - Engine Systems/Battery System - Warning
- Disconnect all jumper wires and reconnect all previously disconnected components and harness connectors.
- Make sure all accessories are turned off and the battery is fully charged.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Test drive the vehicle.
- With the scan tool under Data Display, monitor the 2WD/4WD while performing 90° angle parking lot maneuvers in both forward and reverse.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs in the FDCM.
Are there any DTCs present in the FDCM?
Yes
- Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure. See DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Final Drive Control (FDCM) - Diagnosis and Testing .
No
- The conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time.
