Programming and Relearning

FOBIK PROGRAMING

FOB with Integrated Key (FOBIK) programming requires the use of the Personal Identification Number (PIN) for the vehicle, a diagnostic scan tool and the appropriate diagnostic information. Also be certain that the FOBIK and any replaced electronic modules are programmed in the proper sequence. Programming and Relearning

NOTE: On vehicles equipped with the Passive Entry (PE) or Keyless Go (KG) systems, following programming of a new or additional FOBIK to the Wireless Ignition Node (WIN), the new or additional FOBIK MUST also be programmed to the Passive Entry Module (PEM) for the replacement or additional FOBIK to be recognized by the PEM. Otherwise, the new or additional FOBIK will not operate the PE or KG features of the vehicle. Follow the programming steps outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for Replace found under Miscellaneous Functions for the PEM/Passive Entry Module menu item.
