Theory Of Operation

The Remote Radio Switches are hardwired to the Right Steering Wheel Control Switch (Speed Control Switch). The Right Steering Wheel Control Switch (Speed Control Switch) transmits Remote Radio Switch information to the Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) (integral to the Steering Column Control Module) via the LIN Bus. The SAS then converts this data to a CAN Bus signal and broadcasts the message to the corresponding module on the bus.
