CAUTION:

If the steering wheel is excessively off-center while driving, outside of Chassis specifications, inadvertent ESC activations may occur on a vehicle so equipped.

Align the spline on the steering wheel hub to the column shaft, then install the steering wheel (5).
Slide the steering wheel damper (4) over the shaft.
Install a NEW retainer bolt (3) and tighten to 75 N.m (55 ft. lbs.).
Connect all electrical connectors (2).
Install the airbag. Refer to AIR BAG, DRIVER, INSTALLATION .
Install the negative battery terminal on the battery. It is important that this is performed properly.
Test the operation of the horn, lights and any other functions that are steering column operated.
