Headlamp Leveling Module - Removal





REMOVAL





1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the trim from the left quarter inner panel. Quarter Trim Panel - Removal.
3. Locate the Automatic Headlamp Leveling Module (AHLM) (also known as the High Intensity Discharge Transducer/HIDT) (1) on the top of the left inner rear wheel housing (3).
4. Disconnect the body wire harness connector from the connector receptacle of the AHLM.
5. Remove the two nuts (2) that secure the mounting strap of the AHLM to the two studs on the top of the left inner rear wheel housing.
6. Remove the AHLM and mounting strap from the studs on the top of the left inner rear wheel housing as a unit.
