Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR BCM CAN BUS DTCS
- With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.
Are any BCM CAN BUS DTCs present?
Yes
- Refer to the DTC INDEX and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure. Perform the diagnostic procedure for DTC U0001-CAN C BUS first if the fault is present.
- Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to 6F24 TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 2
- With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.
- ANTI-LOCK BRAKE MODULE (ABS) DTCS PRESENT
- With the scan tool, read ABS DTCs.
Are any ABS DTCs present?
Yes
- Refer to the DTC INDEX and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.
No
- Using the schematics as a guide, check the Transmission Control Module (TCM) terminals for corrosion, damage or terminal push out. Pay particular attention to all power and ground circuits. If no problems are found, replace and program the TCM in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to 6F24 TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
- With the scan tool, read ABS DTCs.
