Module, Transmission Control: Removal: Removal

- Position vehicle on a suitable hoist with the transaxle in neutral. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Release the hood latch and open the hood.
- Raise the vehicle enough to gain access to the left front wheel.
- Remove the left front wheel. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Through the opening rearward of the suspension strut, remove the lower bolts holding the TCM to the transaxle located below the power brake booster.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the engine cover.
- Disengage the lock (1) holding the wire connector to the TCM.
- Separate the wire connector from the TCM.
- Remove the bolts holding the top of the TCM to the transaxle.
- Separate the TCM from the vehicle.
