Transmission Verification Test-948TE: Notes

To validate the repair(s) that fixed the vehicle, perform the following steps.
- Reconnect any disconnected components.
- Connect the scan tool to the Data Link Connector.
- With the scan tool, erase ABS DTCs.
- With the scan tool, erase PCM DTCs.
- With the scan tool, erase TCM DTCs.CAUTION:
Apply the parking brake.
- With the scan tool, display the Transmission Temperature. Start and run the engine until the transmission temperature is above 43° C (110° F).
- If internal transmission components were repaired or replaced check the transmission fluid and adjust if necessary. Refer to the Check Oil Level procedure. Refer to FLUID AND FILTER, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- If the Transmission Control Module (TCM), Valve Body, or Transmission without TCM was replaced, perform the Valve Body Solenoid Learn Procedure with a scan tool.
- If internal transmission repairs were performed or the Transmission Control Module (TCM) was replaced, perform the TCM ADAPTATION procedure. Refer to TCM ADAPTATION-948TE AND 9HP48 .
- After performing the above procedures, perform the "ROAD TEST PROCEDURE" below.
