Diagnostic Test

VERIFY DTC IS ACTIVE 

1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.

   Does the scan tool display; U0164-LOST COMMUNICATION WITH HVAC CONTROL MODULE as Active?

   Yes 

   • Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX and perform the U0164-LOST COMMUNICATION WITH HVAC Control Module.

   No 

   • Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING and perform the STORED LOST COMMUNICATION DTCS diagnostic procedure.
