M40 MTA
When replacing certain transmission components, the Transmission Control Module (TCM) must relearn certain values to allow the transmission to operate properly. Perform the scan tool routines below in the order indicated for the part that was replaced.
The BLEED HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT routine must be performed anytime the hydraulic fluid circuit is exposed to atmosphere.
The HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT DEPRESSURIZATION routine MUST be performed BEFORE any hydraulic components are removed.
The RESET OF DATA GROUP routine MUST be performed before performing the LEARN CLUTCHES CONTACT POINT routine is performed.
The RESET OF DATA GROUP routine MUST be performed before performing the QUICK LEARN routine is performed.
The QUICK LEARN routine must always be performed after the RESET OF DATA GROUP routine is performed.
