Module, Vehicle System Interface (VSIM): Installation

  1. Position the Vehicle System Interface Module (VSIM) to the bracket with the upper guide (2) aligned with the VSIM bracket opening.

  2. Engage the upper VSIM guide to the slot opening (1) located at the top of the VSIM bracket.

  3. Seat the lower portion of the VSIM to the bracket and press inward until the lower guide (1) snaps into position.

  4. Connect all relevant wiring harness connections to the VSIM.
  5. Install the instrument panel end cap. Refer to CAP, INSTRUMENT PANEL END, INSTALLATION .
  6. Install the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, INSTALLATION .
  7. Connect the negative battery cable.
