Module, Vehicle System Interface (VSIM): Removal

- Remove the instrument panel end cap. Refer to CAP, INSTRUMENT PANEL END, REMOVAL .
- Remove the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL .
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Disconnect all electrical connectors from the Vehicle System Interface Module (VSIM).
- Depress the tab at the bottom of the VSIM. This will release the lower portion of the VSIM from the VSIM bracket.
- Pull the VSIM down and at an angle to release the upper guide tab from the VSIM bracket.
- Remove the VSIM from the vehicle.
