Theory Of Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2020 Chrysler 300 and 2019 Chrysler 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Integrated Center Stack (ICS) is the customer interface control for many vehicle features such as Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Audio, Hazard Switch, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and other various features depending on the vehicle's option configuration. The ICS receives direct a Battery B(+) supply from the Power Distribution Center (PDC) and has a body ground. Actuating a function by the use of any ICS button or knob sends a signal via CAN IHS through the CAN IHS Star Connector then to either the Body Control Module (BCM) or the corresponding module for which the intended function was actuated.
