Diagnostic Test

VERIFY THE DTC IS ACTIVE
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase Forward Facing Camera Module (FFCM) DTCs.
3. Cycle the ignition from off to on.
4. With the scan tool, read FFCM DTCs.
  Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Go To 5
CHECK FOR BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) DTCS
1. With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.
  Are there any BCM CAN Bus DTCs present?
  
  Yes
  - Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.
  No
  - Go To 3
CHECK FOR POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) DTCS
1. With the scan tool, read PCM DTCs.
  Are there any PCM DTCs present?
  
  Yes
  - For 3.6L, refer to 3.6L - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX . For 5.7L, refer to 5.7L - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.
  No
  - Go To 4
CHECK OTHER MODULES FOR DTCS
1. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Are there any other modules reporting implausible communication DTCs against the PCM?
  
  Yes
  - Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), REMOVAL .
  - Perform the FORWARD FACING CAMERA VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to FORWARD FACING CAMERA VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Using the schematics as a guide, check the FFCM pins, terminals, and connectors for corrosion, damage, or terminal push out. Pay particular attention to all power and ground circuits. Is no problems are found, replace and program the Forward Facing Camera Module (FFCM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, FORWARD FACING CAMERA (FFCM), REMOVAL .
  - Perform the FORWARD FACING CAMERA VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to FORWARD FACING CAMERA VERIFICATION TEST .
CHECK THE WIRING AND CONNECTORS
1. The conditions necessary to set the DTC are not present at this time.
2. Using the schematics as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors specific to this module. Wiggle the wiring and connectors while checking for shorted and open circuits.
3. Check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension.
4. Check Service Bulletins for any possible causes that may apply.
  Were there any problems found?
  
  Yes
  - Repair as necessary.
  - Perform the FORWARD FACING CAMERA VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to FORWARD FACING CAMERA VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Test complete.
