Shaft, Intermediate, Extension: Installation
- Slide intermediate shaft extension (2) into bearing (1) mounted to dash panel.
- Align opposite end of extension with steering column (3) shaft. Slide extension coupling onto steering column shaft until hole is lined up for pinch bolt installation.
- Install a NEW coupling pinch bolt at steering column shaft and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
- Tighten previously loosened extension bearing mounting bolt to the proper specification. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
- Align intermediate shaft (2) with intermediate shaft extension (1) and slide intermediate shaft coupling onto extension until hole is lined up for pinch bolt installation.
- Install a NEW coupling pinch bolt at extension and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
- Remove steering wheel holder.
- Connect battery (-) negative cable to battery negative post.
