Short Drop
The short drop feature allows opening and closing of the doors without causing damage to the windows or door seals. The short drop behavior is identical for both the front doors, it uses a combination of door handle pull with the door ajar status to determine the required operation.
The Short Drop "Down" feature remains active until one of the following conditions occurs:
- The feature has been active for max time of 600 milliseconds
- A stall is detected
- The door glass position reaches the target Short Drop position
- An engine crank event occurs
The Short Drop "Up" feature will be activated if the following conditions are met:
- The door glass is at the Short Drop Position
- The respective door is Closed
- Short Drop Up feature is not temporarily disabled
- An engine crank event occurs
The Short Drop Up feature remains active until one of the following conditions occurs:
- The feature has been active for 1.5 seconds
- A stall is detected
- A switch request or reversal request is activated to drive the window down
The Short Drop I disabled if:
- The upper window position has never been learned
- The upper window position has been lost
- A door witch input is not recognized be the door control module
