Diagnostic Test

PCM PROGRAMMED WITH INCORRECT SOFTWARE 

1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Program the PCM in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE PROGRAMMING .
3. Start the engine.
4. Allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature.
5. With a scan tool, select read the active DTCs.

   Does the scan tool display U0300-INTERNAL CONTROL MODULE SOFTWARE INCOMPATIBILITY?

   Yes 

   • Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), REMOVAL .
   • Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .

   No 

   • The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) has been successfully programmed. Test is complete.
   • Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
