Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK FOR ACTIVE INTERNAL FAULTS, IGNITION FAULTS, AND BATTERY FAULTS IN THE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLER (ORC) 
    NOTE:

    Make sure the battery is fully charged.

    1. With the scan tool, read Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display any active DTCs relating to internal faults, ignition faults, or battery faults?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Go To  2
  2. VERIFY THAT B0095-95-RIGHT FRONTAL ACCELERATION SENSOR - INCORRECT ASSEMBLY IS ACTIVE 
    1. With the scan tool, erase ORC DTCs.
    2. Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds and then turn the ignition on.
    3. Wait 2 minutes, and then with the scan tool, read ORC DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display active: B0095-95-RIGHT FRONTAL ACCELERATION SENSOR - INCORRECT ASSEMBLY?

      Yes 

      • Go To  3

      No 

  3. VERIFY WIRING 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Inspect the impact sensor wiring for a Right Front Impact Sensor.

      Are Right Front Impact Sensor(s) present?

      Yes 

      WARNING:

      Turn the ignition off, disconnect the battery and wait two minutes before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.

      WARNING:

      If the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) is dropped at any time, it must be replaced. Failure to take the proper precautions can result in accidental airbag deployment.

      No
