Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR ACTIVE INTERNAL FAULTS, IGNITION FAULTS, AND BATTERY FAULTS IN THE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLER (ORC) NOTE:
Make sure the battery is fully charged.
- With the scan tool, read Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) DTCs.
Does the scan tool display any active DTCs relating to internal faults, ignition faults, or battery faults?
Yes
- Diagnose and repair the DTCs. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX
No
- Go To 2
- With the scan tool, read Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) DTCs.
- VERIFY THAT B0095-95-RIGHT FRONTAL ACCELERATION SENSOR - INCORRECT ASSEMBLY IS ACTIVE
- With the scan tool, erase ORC DTCs.
- Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds and then turn the ignition on.
- Wait 2 minutes, and then with the scan tool, read ORC DTCs.
Does the scan tool display active: B0095-95-RIGHT FRONTAL ACCELERATION SENSOR - INCORRECT ASSEMBLY?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Perform the RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST .
- VERIFY WIRING
- Turn the ignition off.
- Inspect the impact sensor wiring for a Right Front Impact Sensor.
Are Right Front Impact Sensor(s) present?
Yes
WARNING:Turn the ignition off, disconnect the battery and wait two minutes before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
WARNING:If the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) is dropped at any time, it must be replaced. Failure to take the proper precautions can result in accidental airbag deployment.
- Replace the ORC in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLER, REMOVAL .
- Perform the RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Perform the RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST .
