Diagnostic Test

  1. DETERMINE ACTIVE OR STORED DTC 
    NOTE:

    Make sure the battery is fully charged.

    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. Perform ORC module reset. Access the Miscellaneous Function menu from the ORC ECU Overview screen on the scan tool to perform this operation.
    3. Using the scan tool, read ORC DTCs.

      Is the DTC active or stored?

      ORC - ACTIVE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) 

      • Go To  2

      ORC - STORED DTC 

  2. CHECK FOR ADDITIONAL ACTIVE SQUIB DTCS 
    1. Using the scan tool, read ORC DTCs.

      Are there sensor specific DTCs set as active in addition to B0090-9A-LEFT FRONTAL RESTRAINTS SENSOR - COMPONENT OR SYSTEM OPERATING CONDITIONS?

      Yes 

      • Repair all other active sensor specific DTCs before repairing B0090-9A-LEFT FRONTAL RESTRAINTS SENSOR - COMPONENT OR SYSTEM OPERATING CONDITIONS.

      No 

      • Go To  3
  3. USE THE SCAN TOOL TO IDENTIFY THE COUPLED CIRCUITS 
    1. Using the scan tool, identify the two or more sensor circuits that read SET.

      Are two or more sensor circuits DTCs set?

      Yes 

      • Repair the two or more sensor circuits for a Sensor Circuit Coupling condition.
      • Perform the RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST .

      No
