Module, Anti-Lock Brake System (Abs): Installation

1 - ABS MODULE
2 - HCU
3 - SOLENOID VALVE STEM
CAUTION:

Do not to touch the sensor terminals on the HCU side or the contact pads on the ABM side as this may result in contamination and issues in the future.

NOTE:

Do not touch the sensor terminals on the HCU side or the contact pads on the ABS module side as this may result in contamination and issues in the future. 

  1. Align components and install the ABM (1) on the HCU (2).

  2. Install the fasteners (1) attaching the ABS module (2) to the HCU. Tighten the mounting screws to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

    NOTE:

    Before installation the ABS module wire harness connector on the ABS modules, be sure the seal is properly installed on the wire harness connector. 

  3. Insert the ABS module wiring harness connector (2) into the socket of the ABS module (1) and close the cover, locking the connector in place.
  4. Connect the negative cable on the battery negative post.
  5. Connect the diagnostic scan tool to initialize the ABS module and perform the following:
    1. Clear any faults.
    2. Perform the ABS Verification Test and road test the vehicle. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
